This PRS CE is an addition to the reliable Bolt-On series, showcasing a body featuring a body made entirely of mahogany with a gorgeous maple top. The top of the body highlights the grain of the maple, and makes the point clear that maple is a top choice in tonewood selection, featuring deep, dark striping and bookmatched halves that make this guitar speak volumes without playing a note.
Reminding us of why it’s called the “Bolt-On” series, the stunning body of this guitar is attached to its maple neck using a secure, four-bolt connection. The Pattern Thin profiled neck features a dark, tightly grained rosewood fretboard with PRS’ iconic Bird-shaped inlays, and 25 frets, offering a total scale length of 25″.
In the tone department, the CE 24 is equipped with humbucking PRS 85/15 pickups, offering six classic sounds through a volume and push/pull tone wiring scheme, all easily navigated with a 3-way toggle switch. The result is a versatile instrument that delivers a spectrum of tones, taking advantage of its body’s shape, construction and material choices in the tones it can achieve.
Originally introduced in 1988, the CE series has been a testament to PRS craftsmanship, providing players with timeless design and excellence synonymous with the brand while infusing performance features that make these guitars shine. It’s familiar and recognizable, built with a high-attention to detail and equipped with features that deliver a unique sonic signature.
