Fender Custom Shop ’60s Telecaster Custom NOS Electric Guitar, Faded British Racing Green

Original price was: $4,675.00.Current price is: $4,250.00.

The Fender Custom Shop delivered once again with this ’60s Telecaster Custom NOS, a timeless guitar that pays major respect to the iconic Telecaster heritage while also pushing the boundaries of design.

The foundation of this Telecaster is a 2-piece alder body, cut tot he same shape that Telecasters have left largely unchanged since their inception in 1951. This wood selection provides a lot of the resonant sound that Telecasters have become synonymous with. The standout feature of the body is its stunning auto-history inspired Faded British Racing Green nitrocellulose Lacquer finish.

Breaking away from convention, the rosewood neck of this Telecaster is a unique statement that is less common in production line guitars and has become a more frequent staple of the FCS. The solid rosewood construction extends to the fingerboard, showcasing the AAA version of this same wood. The coloration of the back of the neck and headstock adds a beautiful contrast to the color of this guitar’s body, and allows for the deep grain of the rosewood to be visible, specifically on the headstock. The ’60 Style Oval “C” neck profile offers slim dimensions and limited shoulders, allowing comfortable playability and easy access to every inch of the fingerboard. The fingerboard sports a radius of 9.5″ and Narrow Tall 6105 frets.

Handwound ’50-’51 Blackguard pickups are responsible for this Tele’s signature twang, scientifically assembled by the Fender Custom Shop. These pickups capture the sonic essence of the original flagship Telecaster, delivering an iconic vintage-inspired tone that defines the Telecaster’s sound. The Master Volume, Master Tone, and three-way pickup selector switch provide simple control over these pickups.

Fender Custom Shop NOS (New Old Stock) treatment takes this Telecaster back in time, presenting it as if it were a brand new guitar straight from the 1960s that never left its case. The British Racing Green Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish adds authenticity to the vintage aesthetic, while the absence of wear and tear really offers players an opportunity to have the experience of owning a new guitar in the ’60s.
