Fender’s Custom Series of amplifiers aim to recreate their classic hardwired predecessors of the time, and this ’57 Custom Champ is no exception. With its single 12AY7 tube in the preamp section, and single 6V6 tube in the power section (along with 5Y3GT rectifier tube), the Champ can deliver broken up overdriven tones very quickly through its 8″ speaker. At 5 watts, it only has one control (Volume) leaving most of its tonal characteristic to the guitar you plug in. Covered in Fender’s iconic tweed tolex, you have an amp that is a tried-and-true recording tool.
This amplifier is in excellent condition with no blemishes to its tolex, or control panel. The original hang tags are still on the amplifier.
