This 2015 Fender American Special Telecaster is a last year build for the model as the American Professional series was set to be released in 2016. The American Special series offered an Alder Body, Texas Special pickups, an ash tray bridge w/ brass saddles, jumbo frets, CBS era Fender logo and a black Fender gig bag.
This is fine example features a rosewood fingerboard with wide grain and lots of red striping. Fenders “C” neck profile is fairly skinny with not much shoulder but lends itself to being a fast playing neck. The Texas Special pickups have staggered pole pieces, helping produce lots of mid range punch and chime.
This 2016 Fender American Special Telecaster is in very good condition. The body shows very light scratches but otherwise is very clean.
